Previously: Day 2 – Themed Dinner
When the dinner ended, one of the organizers asked us whether we want to go to Little Bali? We were like “Little Bali? What is that?”, because obviously, it was not in the itinerary. We were told that Little Bali is actually a place with the only nightlife in Cherating.
Located on the same street as Hafiz Cherating Activities, it is a bar/restaurant situated by the Cherating river.
What differentiate this place with other similar places in Kuala Lumpur is the decoration, where they adapt a traditional [Balinese] style decorations. Apart from that, they have a terrace, built over the river, which gives a nice view of the river.
We had the chance to meet DJ Shah, the owner of the place, who has more than 12 years experience in the disk-jockeying world. He told us that he was the former DJ at the Legend Cherating Resort’s X-POSE. He also told us that he built the place in such a way because the Western people loves the traditional style decorations.
As the conversation progressed, it turned out that he is actually the uncle of Iqwal Hafiz, the artist who asked me to dance to the song of M. Daud Kilau. ;D
As Cherating is known as a quiet place where one come to unwind and rilex to the sound of nature, it was quite shocking for some of us to know that such a place exists in Cherating.
To be honest, the live band was quite good. They have great voice and nice musics were played. But if you are looking for a quiet Cherating, this is not the place. But for party goers, this might be the place for your nightlife-fix, because nightlife is almost non-existent in Cherating.
After Little Bali, we went back to the resort. It was already 2.00 a.m, and I really needed a good night sleep. Zzzzz…
