Hi there! This is part of a series on Visit Malaysia 2014. In conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2014, we will post a photo from our Instagram account, @kairulizwan, which will give you an insight on Malaysia. Come, visit Malaysia, Truly Asia.
Pasar malam, literally translated as night market, is one of the prominent features of Malaysian’s lifestyle. It is not a night market specifically caters for the tourists coming to Malaysia. A normal pasar malam is where most Malaysians go for cheap local food and for foreign travellers coming to a pasar malam, it is where one can find the most variety of local delicacies and the sense of multiracial Malaysia. This is the place where Malaysians congregate to find the food where it is usually hard to find elsewhere. A pasar malam can be found in most townships and it opens usually once a week. Ask a local for a pasar malam in their area and immerse yourselves in the experience.
Any similar pasar malam in your place?
