I read this post for the first time about five years ago and it inspired me to quit my job, travel, and move to New York! Since then, I’ve been to 15 countries and made New York City my home. I feel like I’m at this point right now, which is terrifying, but also thrilling. I just quit my high paying job at Disneyland because I got so depressed I could barely function. I moved back to Utah in December and I’m living with my parents at 28 years old. Talk about feeling like a failure…

I started my blog last year but with the depression controlling my life it was hard to stick with it. But I’m not giving up. I’m re-commiting to my blog and trying to post regularly instead of erratically. I’m attending Anna Karsten’s blogging course in Bali as well as TravelCon in September and I hope I’ll be able to take what I’ve learned there and make it to where you are today. You are such an inspiration to me and I hope I’ll get to meet you at TravelCon! Thank you for always being honest about your fears and anxieties. It makes me feel like I’m not alone. Luv ya Liz!

I have just read your quit your job story, and I must say it is great! I am about 4 months in to a similar adventure, however, I have not figured out how to make money blogging. But reading this reminded me of how dead inside I was starting to feel when I finally decided to bet on ME and go do what I wanted to do. Thank you so much for the great story, pictures, and general inspiration. I needed it. Adjusting to this kind of life is quite a change from the 9-5 I was living for soo long… Definitely going to follow, and I hope to hear more about your adventures soon!
